Residency
Applications for Honduran Residency are filed with the Honduran Secretaría de Gobernación y Justicia.
Applicants must first qualify for one of the residency categories. These include Immediate Family of a Honduran Citizen, certain employees, missionaries, and anyone meeting a minimum pension or income requirement.
Applicants will also need to provide a police report from their country of origin, and marriage or birth certificates proving the relationship of any dependents. All documents that are issued outside of Honduras must be authenticated at the Honduran Consulate in that country.
Expenses will be approximately $750 per person, including authentication fees in the Consulate, additional authentications in Honduras, and filing fees at the time the Application is submitted.
Legal fees are generally between $800 and $1,200, depending on the lawyer, and on the number of dependents.
